A Family Cleaning Company With a Story
Witches With Brooms Cleaning Services is a family-based professional cleaning company
serving Montréal, Brossard and Longueuil, with roots going back to 1997.
Today, we specialize in commercial cleaning, laboratory cleaning, health care cleaning,
post-renovation cleaning and select residential cleaning —
but our story started very differently.
We Were Young, Wild and Not Very Mature
Witches With Brooms Cleaning Services began in 1997 in Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada, with three young women who knew how to clean.
The original name wasn’t Witches With Brooms.
It was a little different… and let’s just say the word Witches started with a B.
What can I say? We were young, having fun, and certainly weren’t planning on turning a cleaning business into a career.
As the years went on, two of the original founders moved on too.
I’ll call them witches now — I’ve grown up a little since then.
I stayed.
My name is Tammy-anne Deslongchamps, and I’m one of the original founders.
Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the business, decided to continue what we had started,
and gave it the name it carries today:
Witches With Brooms Cleaning Services.

Witches With Brooms Cleaning Services is a family-based professional cleaning company
serving Montréal, Brossard and Longueuil, with roots going back to 1997.
Today, we specialize in commercial cleaning, laboratory cleaning, health care cleaning,
post-renovation cleaning and select residential cleaning —
but our story started very differently.
Where Our Standard of Clean Began
Long before Witches With Brooms existed, I learned how to clean from my grandmother.
Every Sunday, she would take all the dishes out of the cupboards, wash them,
wipe down the inside of the cupboards, and put every freshly washed dish back in its place.
She wasn’t someone who simply made a room look clean.
She deep cleaned.
And she taught my sister and me to do the same.
If You Want Something Done Right…
Years later, after I had a family of my own — I’m the proud mother of two sons and three daughters —
we owned a couple of vacation homes that we regularly rented to guests.
Anyone who has operated a vacation property knows that almost clean isn’t good enough.
Every new guest needs to walk into a space that feels immaculate.
We hired cleaners, but I kept running into the same problems.
Everyone seemed to have a list of things they did — and things they simply didn’t do.
But our properties couldn’t be cleaned that way.
Furniture had to be moved.
Hidden areas had to be checked.
High places had to be reached.
The details mattered.
We called our standard “hotel ready.”
So once again, I found myself deep cleaning.
Eventually, I brought my husband into it — who turned out to be an even better cleaner than I was —
along with our daughters.
Today, those daughters are exceptional deep cleaners themselves.
I look at them now and realize something pretty wonderful:
That standard was passed from their great-grandmother,
to me, and then to them.
And that is a big part of who Witches With Brooms is today.
We are a family-based business.
Going Back to Our Roots
Over the years, Witches With Brooms has evolved.
We’ve changed our structure, refined our services, and learned exactly where we do our best work.
We loved residential cleaning and met some wonderful people who became longtime clients.
But somewhere along the way, we fell head over heels in love with cleaning for businesses.
Today, Witches With Brooms is a family-based professional cleaning company.
We still offer residential cleaning, but exclusively for clients who are looking for the same detailed
and personalized standard of care that has defined our work from the beginning.
From three young women with a questionable business name in Edmonton in 1997…
to a professional cleaning company.
Quite a lot has changed.
